Period films are like Christmas for beard-friends.

Hello, friends! I encountered facial hair today that begged to be shared, and then I remembered there was a community for such a thing.

Just watched a trailer for The Wolfman, and lo, Hugo Weaving rocking some chops, stache, and soul patch:

Well played, Mr. Weaving. Well played.

And, while we're at it, two moustaches that make me believe in moustaches again:

Since The Soloist is finally coming out soon, I thought I'd share some lovely bearded Robert Downey, Jr. with everyone. :)

Full size and one more... )

so i loved iron man. loved it to death. and one of the main reasons i loved it so much was tony stark... i am absolutely in love with the character. i never paid much attention to robert downey jr. (couldn't name you one other movie he was in without cheating.) but somehow, because he has that sweet goatee, it works! huzza!

RON WITH A BEARD
To be filed under "Unexpected, But Delightful"----Matthew Lewis, who so ably and rockingly plays our boy Neville in the Potter flicks, working the scruff.

Mr. Radcliffe's five o'clock shadow in the most recent film, Mr. Lewis scruffing along... Clearly, it's only a matter of time.

Also, I would like to take a moment to celebrate Lupinscruff, because honestly.

Gawsh.
Rainn Wilson---aka Dwight, of The Office, of which I am marginally fond----has decided to beard it up. It's amazing how much it makes him look like an actual human being.

What think the ladies? You decide.

If John Krasinski ever decides to grow a beard---and I say this without the slightest degree of hyperbole---I just may die.

Another beardtacular movie on the horizon.

"I BRING YOU SMOKES."

Owen should be legally obligated to have at least scruff at all times, honestly. (Also, dude looks quite dapper in a doublet.)

Oh, [info]onthebeardwalk. Even when unupdated, you are still my favorite thing.

I watched Snatch the other night. While I am not a Pittist in general, I find that I am in specific. Dude can rock the scruff.

Scruffy boys scrappin'---that's pretty much all I ever need from my entertainment.

Also, will someone else please make a post about the beards of Lost? It's worth documenting. Never before in the history of television has a show so bravely said "YES, PLEASE" to wave after wave of stubble.

Pierce Brosnan

me and lauren
Brosnan beards it up big time for his role as a former civil war soldier on the run from Liam Neeson in the wilderness. It looks cowboy-ish, but seems to have too much of a feel of modern action flicks to be really gritty and good. Also, they use the trailer narrator I hate.

Still. . .

Maybe I am just a total nyerd... but is anyone else excited about Christopher Eccleston's upcoming scruffy beardedness on Heroes?
